Humphrey's Corner Lacy Easel Card.

Hello Crafty Folks!

Hope you're all ok and full of the joys of late summer?  It's a scorcher here at the moment.

Today's card is made using an image and paper from Crafters Companions Humphrey's Corner CD.  I like these because the colours are so soft and gentle and pretty.

As you can see, it's for a wedding and I've used one of my lacy easel bases to create this card.  You can see how to do it on my tutorial page.  It's made using a Martha Stewart punch around the page sets, which are absolutely fabulous and make such a massive difference, as you can see.

Once the base was made, the card is very simple as it's just basic matting and layering (colour picked from the image for a perfect match), a bit of guillotine work and rounding the corners.  The sentiment was printed onto a piece of the backing paper in my MCS software.

I just finished it off with a couple of Doo Hickey dragonflies cut out of pale pink glitter card.  With a card like this you really don't need to go OTT on the embellies, though you obviously can if you want!

I've entered this card into the following challenges:
http://cdsundaychallenge.blogspot.co.uk/  where the theme is "Allsorts."
http://cutiepiechallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ where the theme is "No Flowers."

Take care everyone.
Happy crafting!
xx
