Ribbon & Lace Easel - Kraftyhands DT Project.

Hi Folks!

Well, it's the 1st September and the start of a new blog challenge over at Kraftyhands and it's my first month as a member of their Design Team, so please go and have a look, read the rules  and give it a try.  The theme is Ribbon & Lace, so there are endless options for you.  But you must use a product sold by Kraftyhands on their site or at shows.  The prize is a £20 voucher to spend in their webshop and they sell a great range of products from CDs to rubber stamps as well as products from Crafters Companion, so check out the site.

And here's my DT card for the September challenge:

For this card I have used the gorgeous Cute Kittens CD from the double CD which features Cute Kittens and Cute Puppies.  It's a gorgeous CD and has images for all occasions.  I have used the image and backing papers from the CD and colour picked from the backing paper to make the perfect matting layer.

The easel base is made using Cheery Lynn's English Tea Party Doily die which is a good sized die for making easel cards, though it's a little fiddly as it has to cut through a double thickness of card.  Well worth the time and effort, though.

To create the sentiment I used the main image, faded it and added a simple sentiment.

To finish off I have added some pink faux gems and a pink double bow.

I think it's a very pretty card that any little girl would love.

So don't forget to go over to Kraftyhands and have a look at the challenge.  Give it a go...there are plenty of fabulous items in their shop to spend the winnings on!

Take care everyone.

Happy crafting!
xx

  7. Hi Lexie this is a stunning card. You must have arms like Goliath after running that through the GC enough times to get the die to cut ha ha .
