hope you're all ok and managing to keep warm!
Right, today's card is a bit special as it features a fabulous new digi by Heather Valentin! As you'll see, it's really special and my little boy, Jamie, adores it...even in the colours I've chosen, lol.
Now, this card should be better than it is BUT I changed things around this time and made it harder on myself. Firstly, I used an 8 x 8 card blank which I never do! So my embellies became a bit of a struggle to try and balance out...need to work on that now as Heather's digis are so gorgeous they deserve to be big and bold. Secondly, I started by colouring the digi when usually I would put the card together and then pick the digi colours from that, so definitely made things harder on myself there, lol. But I'm pretty happy with the card and I'm VERY happy with the digi.
The digi's called Eleanor & Pickles Dinosaur Fun and is only available from Heather Velentin over at her new blog which can be found at http://lacysunshine.blogspot.co.uk/
If you see anyone else offering it for sale, they are NOT authorised to do so and are breaking the law. Please report it to Heather.
Anyway...here is Heather's stunning new image. I absolutely love it and it's so easy to colour:
Awww...how fab is this digi? I'm actually really proud of the colouring on this one...not perfect but certainly better than I was capable of a short while ago, and definitely better than my crafting today...oops! Lol. I've used my promarkers for this one and it was a lot easier than it looked as an uncoloured digi.
Pic's not the best as I couldn't stand it up as all the glue's so wet and the light was bad. Shall try and take a better one tomorrow. Wanted to get it on here today, though, to show how lovely it is and how much we all have to look forward to thanks to Heather Valentin!
Hope you love the characters as much as I do.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Take care and happy crafting.

Beautiful..such a gorgeous image and colours.xxx
ReplyDeletei love the card, the colours and the image are fab xxxx
ReplyDeleteVery definately a Jamie card.I think your balance is spot on. I like 8x8 cards but tend to use 6x6 or 7x5 these days as smaller cards seem to be what DD wants. May be the postage factor. As usual I love your colour scheme just what is needed this time of year when everything is grey and cold(at least its is down here.)

A wonderful card Lexie, I love the image and you've coloured it beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI prefer 8x8 cards with digis as you can use a bigger image and get more detail in the colouring x
