Molly the Elf - Saturated Canary.

Hi Folks!

Hope you're all ok?  It's an absolutely beautiful day here and slightly warmer too.  We were out with the dog first thing this morning and it was still dark and so clear that you could see the stars and the moon looked incredible as it was a crescent but you could see the unlit part as well...really stunning.

Anyhoo...today's card is my first using a Saturated Canary digi.  I was looking at some online yesterday and thought, 'yup...need some of those!' so I got some.  Isn't the Net and the ability to download within seconds incredible?

Here's Molly the Elf:

And isn't she a stunner?  I've coloured her with my promarkers and she was a joy (and pretty quick) to colour, even on the scale I did her which was pretty small as it's only a 5 x 5 card base.  Once coloured I have glittered the white bits of her clothing.

The paper is a freebie from Bearly Mine (link over in right hand panel) and was just perfect for this image and I thought it looked so classy once I'd matted and layered it onto some dark green Papermania Textured cardstock and gold mirror card, I couldn't bear to put any embellies on it, lol.  So I've limited them to the topper itself.  The inside is decorated to match.

The poinsettiers are cut from mulberry paper using Marianne dies and they're finished with gorgeous little golden flowers I've had in my stash for ages.  Wish I could remember where I bought them from (probably ebay) as I'd love some more.

The sentiment is a gold foiled one from my stash and I've matted and layered using the green and gold cards and placed it up the side of the topper to save unbalancing the card.

Actually, I really love this one.  It's so simple, but so pretty.  One of the wonderful things about crafting is that each time you create something you fall in love with something new.

I'm going to enter this card into the following challenges:
http://hookedoncraftchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ where the theme is 'Christmas.'
http://kaboodledoodles.blogspot.co.uk/  where the theme is 'Use the Colour Red.'
http://tuesdayalchemy.blogspot.co.uk/  where the theme is 'Anything Goes.'

Before I go I would like to say 'welcome' to my new followers and to thank everyone for their lovely comments.  They really do mean a lot to me.  You're all fab!

Take care everyone & happy crafting!
xx
