House Mouse Lacy Easel Card.

Hi Folks!

Hope you're all ok?

I have two bits of news today.  Firstly, I've sadly resigned from the Design Team at Cards Galore.  I loved the team and the girls are lovely but I've felt like I was letting them down as part of the DT is taking part on their facebook groups.  Now, I've tried to get to like facebook and participate, but I just can't get into it.  I also find I just don't have the time to commit to doing that and I felt like I wasn't really pulling my weight, so I've resigned.  I wish them all the best of luck with their own projects and the Cards Galore Challenge.

That was yesterday...and today I received an invitation to join the DT over at Kraftyhands!  They've only recently started running a challenge and it's building up nicely.  I also really like the products they're coming up with, especially the gorgeous stamps designed by my mate Linda Simpson, let alone the incredibly sweet double CD featuring Cute Kittens and Cute Puppies AND the Vintage Cars CD, which is a huge hit with me as those cars have me drooling!  So, after establishing that I wouldn't have to spend time on facebook (groan!) I've accepted the invitation and will be starting right away.  It's all very exciting and I'm sure it will be a lot of fun.

Anyway, today's card is a House Mouse one...awwwww...seriously cute, especially as this design also features a Happy Hopper bunny.

Sorry, not sure what happened with the photo but the colours look a bit pale, but you'll get the idea.

I've created the easel base for this one using my Silhouette software.  I used several cutting files to help create the basic shape and then welded them together to make the easel base, before adding another single shape to the top to finish the easel.

The paper, sentiment and topper are all from Joanna Sheen's fabulous House Mouse Volume 1 CD and Book.  Now, I've heard rumours that there'll be a Christmas one out soon...woohoo!!!!  That's seriously exciting news!

I've colour picked the matting layer from the backing paper and have taken the backing paper into the Silhouette software to drop into the cutting file shape I had created for the mats and layers.

Then I cut it using my Cameo and chucked it all together.

I've finished off by using some beautiful roses from Wild Orchid (see list on right of page) and some faux gems.

I'm pretty pleased with how this one turned out, especially the easel base.  Think I'll be keeping that one safe and ready to use again!

Take care Folks...happy crafting!
xx
