Floral Oval Easel Card.

Hi Craft Dudes & Dudettes!

Hope you're ok?

Today's card is one I've just made for my bezzie mate's granddaughter's 2nd birthday.  Her name's Skye and she's such a cutie.

Awwwww...it's the adorable little hedgehog from Country Companions.  Both the image and the backing paper are from Docrafts Celebrations Double CD, which features the Country Companions characters.  They're just so cute.

I've made the easel base using Spellbinders Floral Ovals die (largest size).  The scalloped edge dies have also been cut using Spellbinders, but the circles and ovals have been cut on my Cameo.

As simple as that.  All the designing was done in the Silhouette software (including the sentiment) which means I didn't have to waste ink as I just created the oval then dragged the paper into them.  The matting layers were colour picked from the backing paper and the green for the sentiment was picked from Hedgie's little wellies.

This Spellbinders die actually makes quite a nice sized easel so I hope they come out with more designs as I'll definitely be getting them.  I'm not into big cards, but many of the dies are too small but this one is just about perfect, I think.

It's such a pretty designe with the lacy edging so I didn't fuss around adding embellishments, though some flowers and pearls would have looked pretty too.  I'm in a less is more mood lately.

Take care everyone and happy crafting!
xx

    Hugs to you both
