White on White Wedding Card.

Hi Folks!

So sorry...I vanished again.  Mainly because I've had no end of trouble with my laptop again - yes, the new one!  Eventually I had to give in and do yet another full Windows reinstallation...the second since I got this one three months ago!  Unbelievable.

Anyway, I have been crafting but nothing for the blog but today I am showing you the card I've made for this month's challenge over at Cards Galore.  The theme is 'white on white' and no other colour (apart from ivory) is allowed.  So I've done two versions of this card...one the official challenge version and one my preferred version with a little bit of stamping on.

Funny how there are so many shades of white, isn't it?  Lol.  The glitter card looked (and was claimed to be) white until I got it home and put it next to my Supersmooth card.  And the flowers were also sold as (and looked) white.

For these cards I made the base using a Cheery Lynn Reflections Boutique Square Heart die.  The lettering on the official card was cut using my Cameo and the die shape for the unofficial card was cut using a Marianne die and stamped using a Lily of theValley stamp.

The flowers were from Wild Orchid, the feathers were from Ebay and the faux pearls were from my stash.

The background was embossed using a dotty folder.

Simples.

Good luck to everyone who's entering the challenge over at Card Galore.

I'll be back tomorrow...if not, send in a search party!  Bet none of you even missed me, did you.  :o(  Lol.

Happy crafting.
Take care
xx

  1. Like both cards Lexie but my preference is the second one. My friend gave me that border but I find it awkward to line up.

  2. I had that problem too Carrie, but then I read somewhere that it's designed so that you overlap where you've already cut with the die so that the pattern cut is partially in the die and that helps line it up properly. Does that make sense?

    1. I couldn't do it either until I picked up that little tip. Think it was on the Joanna Sheen site. Works a treat.
