Hi everyone!
Hope you're all ok and have been good? It's been a nightmare couple of days doing all my laptop stuff, but I'm almost there. The new hard drive's in and I've got everything on here apart from half my crafty stuff, which is taking forever. It's on my external drive but for some unknown reason it's jumbled itself all up so I'm having to look through masses of stuff to find anything. At least I'm back and crafting!
Today's card is a design team project for the Scrapbook Stamp Society...and as Christmas is coming (well...it's just over 10 months to go!) I thought I'd do a Christmas card. Actually, I adore the image I've used and while I was running hours and hours of Windows updates yesterday I did some colouring in and this is one of the images I did.
The image is by the incredibly talented Morgan Fitzsimons which can be purchased here along with lots more of her gorgeous images. I'm sure you'll agree that this one is unmissable.
I wish that I had been brave enough to have edged the circle of the image with a bit of ink, but after spending all that time colouring and being happy with it I bottled out, lol. And I couldn't trim it down more to fit another matting layer in, so it'll have to do as it is.
The backing paper is from Bearly Mine (I love their papers!) and all I have done is make an easel using my Spellbinders dies and scissors (you can make three sizes out of one die if you're comfortable using scissors).
The flowers are made out of mulberry paper using Marianne's pointsetta dies and topped with a little golden flower.
Some mirror card and a little sentiment swiped from My Craft Studio's Winter Wishes CD finishes the card off.
The image itself was coloured using promarkers.
Hope you like her.

Thanks Carrie!
DeleteI'm looking at lots of tutorials on colouring and slowly picking things up. It's very satisfying as I've never been able to draw or colour so it's good to learn something new. Really looking forward to my Speccies arrival!

ReplyDeletePauline xx
Hi Pauline. Yes, it does fold...you just collapse it and put it straight into an envelope. I'll be doing a few tutorials on here as soon as I get a few minutes and will include a basic easel one. From that one you just change the shapes etc.
