The Lovely Grace.

Hi everyone!

Hope you're keeping wrapped up warm?  It's beautiful but so cold.

Just before I went to bed last night I found out that I had had one of my cards picked as 'favourite' on the Forever Friends Challenge Blog so that gives me the chance of being Guest Designer on there, which is pretty cool.  I love that bear so doing cards featuring him is no hardship at all, lol.

Right, I'm having a very hectic day today but I was determined to make one quick card.  As my Joanna Sheen's Daisy and Friends arrived this week I decided to use that and I've selected one of the gorgeous ready coloured images of Grace as the colours were exactly what I had in mind for today as they give a beautiful vintage look.

The papers are from the same CD and they're beautiful.  If you don't have the CD already, put it on your list!

The matting layers are colour picked from the backing papers and I have paper pricked around the edge of the base layer on the front of the card and interally.  The card is simple matting and layering then arranging how I wanted them before using my trusty old pinflair on the two rose layers and foam pads on the topper.  There is a small round doily (can't see much of it) in the top right hand corner below the sentiment, which was again colour picked from the papers.  The beautiful roses are from Wild Orchid, the double bow was made from ribbon from my stash, as were the small faux pearls, and the die cut under the roses is from the Spellbinders rose set.

So a quick card but I like it.  All the images on the Daisy and Friends CD come in coloured and digi form so the options are endless.  Even some of the papers come in digi form so you can really have a lot of fun playing around with it.

Hope you like today's card.  Back to running around like a headless chicken again!
Take care everyone!
xx

  1. Hi Lexie, I ordered my Daisy disc this morning so am very pleased to read your review. Love the card, image, colour, everything. You are in danger of meeting yourself coming backwards if you keep becoming guest designer... nah.... you've got enough energy, best of luck to you.
