LOTV Lacy Edge Easel Card.

Hi Folks!

Hope you're all ok?  Been busy crafting?  Shall be checking blogs later to make sure you've not been skiving!  Lol.

I've had yet another busy day doing top secret stuff (sort of) but have had time to have a little play and some fun with another LotV die cut topper.  I'm absolutely loving these!  You are a little restricted to how you can use them (shape wise) because they're cut quite small, but they are so lovely and the colours are just perfect.

Anyway...here's today's card.
As you can see, I've been playing with my Martha Stewart punches again!  I absolutely love doing these easels and they make such a difference.  I have lots more ideas which I'll be working on too, so there's loads more fun coming my way.

The backing paper is from MCS Papercraft Library (I love that series!) Finest Filigree CD, which is a bit of a stunner.  The matting layers are picked from that paper and I think they make the perfect backdrop to this gorgeous little LotV  image.  I do wish LotV would do a cd of digis...I'd be the happiest bunny around then!

I made the flowers using some mulberry paper and a Marianne Creatables flower set then just fixed them together with a silver heart shaped brad before scrunching them all up for some shabby roses.  You can spend more time and make some gorgeous roses with these dies but I like the shabby look at the mo.

I made a double bow out of some white ribbon from my stash, and finished off with a sentiment I found on the Net which reads:

The heart of a home is a mother
Whose love is warm and true,
And home has always been "sweet home"
With a wonderful mother like you!

As my mam's a right old bat and we don't talk she won't be getting this card, lol.  However, if there's some lovely lady out there who's loaded with money, and has a big house with a massive craftroom I'm available for adoption!  Lol.

Hope you all have a lovely evening.

  11. Oh my goodness, this is absolutely gorgeous. Can you do me a tutorial, i need one just like this for my Mums birthday! I have been too scared to try an easel card, they look way too complicated but you have inspired me so i am going to get my housework done and get down to business. If mines turns out half as perfect as this, i will be well chuffed! Im your newest follower too! best wishes, Jill x

  12. Hi Jill. Thank you for your lovely comment and for following me.

I am planning on doing a few tutorials in the very near future but just don't have the time in the next few days. I have found a link which would help you, though. Easels really are very easy and once you have the basics you can build from there. Hope this helps for now.
