Heather Valentin's First Kiss - Design Team Project

Hi again!  Aren't you all lucky having a double dose of me today?  Lol.  Could be worse...could be cod liver oil!  Blurgh!

This card is made using Heather Valentin's seriously cute 'First Kiss' digi which can be bought HERE at Scrapbook Stamp Society.  You really need to go over there and have a look as there are digis galore and a whole lot more!  Hey - I should charge them for that, lol.

As you can see, I went just a bit over the top with this (and then some!) but if you can't overdo it for Valentine's Day when can you?

The card base is a white, square, scalloped edge one used as a tent card.

The paper is from Bearly Mine and the matting card was colour picked from the backing paper for a perfect match.

I have sized the dig in my MCS software and printed it onto Supersmooth card before cutting it out using the large Spellbinders Heart Square die.  The image was then coloured in using promarkers.

I've decorated the inside to match, minus the embellishments which consist of silver filigree corners and white roses from Wild Orchid, and faux pearls from my stash.  A cream double bow finishes the top nicely, and the two sentiment embellishments have been cut to suit the card, using some of the matting coloured card to blend them in.

Not so sure about this one myself...maybe a bit too much for my taste but it does seem to go together so...

Hope you all enjoy what's left of the day and keep warm.

Think I should make him sit down and do it personally, lol, but she'd end up with a black heart shape and not much more lol

    1. Thanks Carrie...I'd had that ribbon hanging around for a while and not got around to using it as it's pretty wide. It was the perfect colour, though, so I was really pleased with the bow. Shall be doing more with that ribbon, that's for sure! Lol.

      Hope you are well?

    1. Thanks Gwyneth. Sometimes it's hard to tell when you've done too much or not quite enough. I think because the backing paper's quite busy it looks like there's more than there is.

      Thank you for your comment.
