Ooh...look at me go!  Three days of blogging in a row!  Lol.

Hope you've all had a good day and been busy crafting.

Well, today's card is my first Valentine's Day one and it's another easel.  This time it features Smudge the dog from the My Craft Studio Artist Collections Volume 1 cd.  This dog is so cute.

Here he is sitting holding a little heart and looking all full of lurve.  Aaawwww.

The paper is actually a pale pink patterned paper from the Smudge cd but it doesn't show up in the photo, unfortunately.  I made the topper using a Smudge image and a pink heart backing paper from the disc.
I cut the base card, papers and mirror card (silver) using Penny Duncan Shaplies cutting files (see link in my Blog List) and my Silhouette SD.  I am lucky enough to have a Black Cat Cougar (13") called Mick the Mog, but I've not had time to use him much so far.  That's my main New Year's resolution.  Anyway, I cut the layers and then glued them with Pinflair gel.  I glittered the hearts a little then and made some little flowers using Marianne Design Creatables XL Flower dies (LR0196).  I used the Heartfelt Creations/Spellbinders large leaf and flourish die from the Bella Rose set (product ID: HCD 712) to cut the flourishes and then trimmed them down to fit in with the design.  I did play around with more flowers and embellishments but this design didn't seem to like being fussy so I kept it simple.  The sentiment was just done on the Silhouette software when I was setting up the shapes.  A few pearls from my stash and voila...done and dusted.
