Morning everyone!
Hope you're all ok and having a good weekend?
Just been reading in the news about a nun having a baby...she didn't know she was pregnant. I'm wondering if this means we're going to be having 2 Christmases from now on? I'm just hoping that they're not going to be making a habit (get it???) of this or it'll be very expensive with all the pressies! :o)
Today is the start of Challenge #10 over at Scribble and Scrap and, as always, it's Anything Goes! Yay! See the blog for more information and the rules, which are on the Challenge Rules and Info page. If you don't follow the rules you don't stand a chance of winning...simples.
The winner (drawn by Random.Org) will receive a £15 voucher (£20 if they have used a www.scribbleandscrap.co.uk product) and each of the Top Three will receive a £5 voucher to spend in the shop.
Anyhoo...wanted to do something a little different this week so here is my card.
Yep...it's a tri fold card. They're so easy to make and a lot of fun as well.
You can decorate them how you like, but for this one I just used two of the black and white papers I have designed and put the spotted paper on the forward facing sections and the striped papers on the sideways facing sections, but there are loads of options.
I wanted to keep this card mainly monochrome with just a splash of colour, which I have added in the form of the gorgeous Vintage Rose Bud 2 digi.
I cut the rose out using a Spellbinders circular die before colouring it with the following Promarkers:
Crimson, Berry Red, Red, Forest Green, Bright Green, Lime Green and Cool Grey 1 (to outline).
The matting layer throughout is Papermania Black Textured Cardstock and the dies used were Spellbinders circles and scalloped circles. The base card was cut using white Centura Pearl cardstock.
The dies are Joanna Sheen's Signature Butterflies and Dragonfly dies (they cut so beautifully!), and I finished off with some faux black gems.
And that's it...simples! :o)
Hope you like my project. Please head over to see the rest of the DT inspiration.
Take care everyone and happy crafting!
xx
