Bear Humbug!

Hi Everyone!

Hope you're all ok and keeping warm, dry and busy?  Are you all ready for Christmas yet?  I can't wait but I know there are lots of grumpy people out there so today's card is dedicated to all you miserable lot out there who hate Christmas!  :o)

It also marks the start of another Anything Goes Challenge over at the Scribble and Scrap Blog where the winner has the chance of winning a £15 (or £20 if you use a Scribble and Scrap product) voucher to spend at the Scribble and Scrap Shop.  I've added a set of two digis this week...Scribble as Beary Merry Christmas and Bear Humbug.  They come with 4 sentiments and are priced at £3 for the set.  They can be found here.

Anyway...head over to the blog and join in the fun...as well as the winning prize there are also Top 3 and GDT places up for grabs...which means you'll get showcased on the blog if you are chosen!

So...here's my card and I'm seriously chuffed with this one and more than a little proud of it as I designed and drew the digi AND all the papers as well as the sentiment.  The papers will be available in the shop soon.

For anyone who doesn't know, Bah Humbug Day is on 21 December and is the official day when people can take a break from the stress and hassle of Christmas...unless, of course, they've not even started their Christmas shopping then it's panic stations!  :o)

I designed all the papers myself and they will be in the shop soon.  I have matted them onto some gorgeous black mirror card from my stash.

The Bear Humbug! sentiment is one of the sentiments which comes in the digi set (mentioned above) and I have used the Scribble as Bear Humbug digi.  Doesn't he look a tad grumpy?  Poor old Scribble!  I reckon he's got the hump because he's on Santa's naughty list.

I coloured Scribble Bear Humbug with the following Promarkers:

Ginger, Spice, Oatmeal, Marine, Turquoise, Cool Aqua, Black, Cool Grey 5 and 3.

The white bits on the hat have been flocked so are all soft and nice.

I used a Memory Box die for the bauble (shortened the string on it) and finished off with some black faux gems from my stash.  The inside is decorated to match.

I will be entering this card into the following challenges:

  4. A brilliant card Lexie. Your Bear Humbug looks suitably irritated at the thought of Christmas and the papers are fabulous.
I think you've got it wrong about Bah Humbug Day though. The 21st is my birthday, that's why everyone has the day off from Christmas preparations :) xx
