hope you're all ok on this fabulously wonderful Sunday! Absolutely love this weather. Why can't it be like this every single day and most of us would be happy then?
Today's card is one I've made using a digi I have created from a vintage image which wasn't of good enough quality to use as a topper, so I've given it a new lease of life as a digi so that we can have fun colouring it ourselves.
Ingredients:
Memory Box Dies
My own backing paper but not in shop
Faux gem from stash.
I've coloured this gorgeous old Santa in sepia as I really wanted a lovely, soft, vintage effect. I have used the following markers:
Copics: E00, E11 and E21
Promarkers: Burnt Sienna, Cinnamon, Tan, Putty, Almond, Caramel, Sandstone and Satin
The background paper is a snowflake one I created but it is not in the shop yet. I colour picked to get the correct colour of matting layer and just did very basic matting and layering.
The die cuts are cut from red textured cardstock and I have cut the Christmas Tree down to size.
The inside is decorated to match.
I will be entering this card into the following challenges:

It's lovey, so nice to see a change from red! Beautifully coloured.
ReplyDeleteHe is a very nice Santa and I like the sepia tones. I think he would look nice in traditional green rather than red too. When you say you have colour picked the background where do you pick from i.e. do you scan your coloured image and pick from that, or do you pick from a pro markers colour chart?
ReplyDeleteI like Santa in green as well...and cream.
ReplyDeleteI colour picked from the paper pattern on this occasion, but sometimes I'll do it from the image. You're not supposed to colour and scan images, though, but I might do some of these as pre coloured digis at some stage.
