Hope you're all ok and have had a fabulous week?
Today is the start of a brand new challenge over at The Scribble & Scrap Challenge and, as always it's Anything Goes, which is the best theme around! So no excuses for you not to join in!
The winner is drawn by Random.Org so you all have a chance of winning regardless of experience, and the Top Three and GDT are chosen by a member of the DT. All the winners gets a blinky and the random winner receives a £15 voucher to spend at www.scribbleandscrap.co.uk
Also...the winners will all be showcased on the blog during the coming fortnight. Yay!
So, without further waffle here's my card for Challenge #2:
How's that for a very different type of card than my usual? I even got a little bit of ink on my fingers making this one, lol. That's virtually unheard of in my craft room.
Ingredients:
Three papers from Bearly Mine's Steampunk paper kits
Gold mirror card (cut using Spellbinders Snowflake dies)
Gold filigree corners from Wild Orchids
Pumice Stone distress ink
I used the Pumice stone distress ink to distress the topper image.
I didn't have any steampunk dies and was too lazy to cut some out (well...I DID the inking! Lol), so I found some odd shapes amongst my Spellbinders Snowflake dies and they did the job perfectly.
I used three papers from Bearly Mine, one of them as the matting layer. I printed them out, cut them down and then distressed the edges with a distresser so they are all tatty. That took some doing as I like my cards to be all neat and perfectly cut, lol. I survived the effort, though.
Oh...and I added the sentiment in my MCS software before printing it out.
And that's about it. This is my version of steampunk without getting too grubby. :o)
I will be entering this card into the following challenges:
