Father's Day Challenge over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge.

Morning everyone!

Hope you're all ok and having a great weekend?

Today is the start of a brand new challenge over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge and the theme this time around is Fathers' Day or Male cards.  As usual there is a £15 prize (to be spent at Joanna's scrummy shop)  drawn by Random.Org so everyone gets a chance of winning no matter what their crafting experience.  And there are blinkies for Top Three as well as a GDT spot.  Email entries are accepted (see challenge blog for details) so pop over and have a look then go get crafting!

This time around I was sent some decoupage sheets from the new Jayne Netley Mayhew Summer Collection  and here's what I came up with...a very simple easel where the decoupage does the work.

Absolutely love otters and these guys are having a great time on the beach.  I could watch them play for hours...wonderful creatures.

So, I've just made up the decoupage and let it dry then mounted it onto some green Core'dinations card from the Vintage pack and mounted that onto an easel base I'd created using Kraftcard.  The backing paper on the bottom (can't see it on here) was pinched from Joanna's stunning Faye Whittaker CD .  It's a sand pattern but I've faded the colour right down to go with the sand in the decoupage background.  That's been mounted onto the green Cord'dinations as well and I've just added some Kraftcard corners and little buttons.  The Happy Father' Day sentiment was created on my lappy and mounted onto both cardstocks.  And that's it...easy peasy.

I did use all the layers of the decoupage and it's so easy to cut out (relaxing too).

So head over to the Joanna Sheen Challenge and show us your male cards!

Take care and happy crafting!
xx
