Lizabeth - Wild Daffodils Shaped Easel

Hi-de-hi Crafters!

Hope you're all well and busy crafting away so you can join in our brand new Lacy Sunshine Challenge ?  If you've not seen it already, click on the link and it will take you there.  For the first challenge we have a bigger than usual prize of a £30 voucher to spend at the Lacy Sunshine Store .
There will be a digi release some time today and the new digis are seriously stunning!  Heather Valentin has absolutely surpassed herself with these beauties.  Of course, if you're a member of the Lacy Sunshine Facebook group then you can pop over there for a sneak peek before Heather gets them listed in the store.  There's already a queue of people waiting very impatiently for the new digis to be added to the store.

Anyway, today's card features one of my absolute favourites - Lizabeth.  This little girl is just so beautiful and so lovely to colour, and this one's perfect for Easter cards or just spring in general.

Isn't she just gorgeous?  The image is so fabulous and so well drawn that I didn't want to make a fussy card as the artwork is more than good enough to stand up for itself.  So I've made it into an easel using Spellbinders circle dies and Spellbinders Blossom Three dies.  I've had these for ages and ages but this is the first time I've got around to using them...oops!  But they do make a lovely little easel as you can see.

I've coloured the digi using my Promarkers as follows:

Skin:  Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Baby Pink (for cheeks) and Blush.
Lips:  Antique Pink and Baby Pink.
Hair:  Caramel, Sandstone and Satin.
Top and Boots:  Purple, Amethyst and Orchid.
Trousers:  Soft Green, Grey Green and Tea Green (love, love, love!)
Daffodil Stem:  Forest Green, Bright Green and Lime Green.
Daffodil Head:  Gold, Mustard, Buttercup, Tulip Yellow and one more which I've forgotten...sorry!

The paper's from Bearly Mine (link in sidebar) and is perfect to go with her teal trousers. I used a piece to print the sentiment onto as well.  The purple is Papermania Textured cardstock.  The dragonfly is cut out of glitter card using a Doo Hickey die, and the faux gems are from my stash.

Yep...pretty pleased with this one.

Don't forget that if you feel like a sneaky peek or a good laugh (there are some seriously nutty people in the Facebook Group!) come and join in the fun.

Take care everyone and keep warm.
Happy crafting!
xx
