Pickles Isn't Just for the Girls!

Hi Folks!

Hope you're all ok and surviving the latest batch of snow and floodings.  Lots more floodings to come, I fear, and my heart is with all of you at risk or suffering from flood damage right now.

I've been a bit busy working on top secret stuff the last few days...I would tell you about it but then I'd have to shoot you all and I'd have no followers, which wouldn't be good, lol.

Today I've decided to work out of my comfort zone and show you that Pickles isn't just for us girls...though I'd love him to be.  So...I've made a man's card, which is something I really hate doing as I like pretty cards.  But it does you good to do things you're not comfortable doing sometimes, doesn't it?  At least, that's what they say?

What I'm wondering is why was I (right through making this card) giving a running commentary on what I was doing in the worst ever Irish accent?  Weird!  :o)

As you can see, the gorgeous Heather Valentin digi features young Pickles with his crock of gold.  Wonder who he mugged to get that?  Lol.

Heather's digis are only legally available from her Lacy Sunshine store.  She's adding new digis all the time to both her new range and her retiring range, which are available at just $1 and there are some stunners in there at that price!  Anyone else selling Heather's digis (sometimes labelled as HV digis) are doing so illegally so please don't be tempted to buy elsewhere - support the artist.  That will ensure that Heather keeps bringing us her fabulous digis and characters.

I've coloured this digi using my Promarkers as follows:

Pickles' skin and clover - Forest Green, Bright Green and Lime Green.
Pickles' eyes - Cool Aqua and Cool Grey 1.
Pickles' tongue - Antique pink and Baby Pink.
Grey suit - all Cool Greys
Green in suit - Pine, Forest Green and Bright Green.
Buckles, buttons, crock and gold - Gold, Mustard and Blender.

The papers are all from Bearly Mine (link in sidebar) and the matting layer is Papermania Textured cardstock in medium grey.

The buttons are from my stash.  I was itching to add a flower but managed to talk myself out of it...in my terrible Irish accent, of course!

Anyway, you lot keep warm and safe.
Happy crafting!
xx
