Eleanor & Pickles 'Fishing for Love.'

Hi Folks!

Hope you've all had a good day?

Had quite a busy one today, so it's a quick card.  I've used one of Heather Valentin's gorgeous new digis, though, and this one's called 'Fishing for Love' and is available ONLY at her Lacy Sunshine  store.

This one's just a bit quicker than yesterday's to colour, and didn't take that long at all.  Good for someone just starting out with colouring.

Again, I've used my promarkers.  From memory I have used:

Eleanor's hair:  Mustard, Tulip Yellow and Pastel Yellow.
Skin:  Coral, Sunkissed Pink and Blush.  .
Eyes: Marine, Turquoise and Cool Aqua
Lips (and Pickles' tongue): Antique Pink and Baby Pink
Pickles: Forest Green, Bright Green and Lime Green.
Cloud:  Warm Grey 1 & 3
Blouse and Bow: Antique Pink, Baby Pink and Blender.
Jeans and glasses: Orchid, Amethyst and Purple.
Rod: Walnut, Cocoa and Cinnamon.

I do use the extra fine nibs a lot with them, which really does help to get into the little areas and gives more detail.

I have used backing paper from My Craft Studio's Bunny Snuffles CD...knew it would come in handy one day, lol.  I think this paper is just perfect for this fun image, especially as I've given her the 'blonde' hair again.

I've made the sentiments on my pc (very hurried, sorry) and used my Spellbinders dies to cut the layers out for them.  The butterflies are made using a Doohickey die cut from glitter card and I have 'blinged' them with faux gems.  A few little bits of card candi and voila...a quick card.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Hope you like the digi.  Remember it can only be bought from Heather's store.  She has also set up the Lacy Sunshine Blog and the Lacy Sunshine Facebook group.  We'd love you to join us!

Take care everyone
Happy crafting!

  17. What a positively LOVELY card, Lexie. WOW. Did I read correctly that you're just "starting out" coloring? I wouldn't believe it to look at this image. You've colored it BEAUTIFULLY. Your blending is top notch and your color choices are as well. Love your background papers, too. Gorgeous job! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Tuesday Alchemy!

    1. Hi Shea!

Thank you for the lovely comment. I've been colouring some of my cards for about a year but only very, very basically without a clue what I was doing. But I've found some really good tutorials on YouTube (links on Monday's post) and they've made such a huge difference. I feel like I've 'grown up'...but only colouring wise!!!! I refuse to grow up in any other way, lol!

Thank you again for your comment...and to everyone else of course. Comments are always hugely appreciated and you're all such wonderful people.
