Hope you're all having a great weekend?
Today's card features another of Heather Valentin's fab digi characters, Eleanor & Pickles. This digi is really called 'Happy Lil Flowers' but I like the name 'Blooming Lovely!' so I'm sticking with it, lol.
It's only available from Lacy Sunshine, which is the official and only authorised home of Heather's digis.
And here's the card:
Just noticed that the sentiment had slipped slightly for this...perils of taking pics when all the glue's wet, but it's now been put straight. Also...Pickles looks brighter than he actually is. I have seriously bad lighting in this house at this time of year and it means I have to have an Ottlite directly on it and it sometimes makes the colours a little louder than they are...and Pickles isn't really this loud!
I've used an 8 x 8 scalloped square base for this one, along with green textured cardstock from Papermania. I have given it lacy scalloped edges by using my Cheery Lynn Reflections Boutique Mini Pearl Square dies, which I absolutely love and which are really useful!
The papers I've used are from a Hunkydory kit and My Craft Studio's Quintessential Country Garden. I've layered them onto the lacy edged green card and shoved them on the background card/paper at jaunty angles!
I've then made corners and edged the long side with the Cheery Lynn dies.
The flowers and flourishes were cut from mulberry paper using a Marianne flower die then layered up and fixed together with a brad from my stash.
I finished off with some faux pearls from my stash.
The promarkers I used for the image were:
Caramel, Sandstone and Satin.
Coral, Sunkissed Pink and Blush.
Antique Pink and Baby Pink.
Forest Green, Bright Green and Lime Green.
Marine, Turqouise and Cool Aqua.
Cool Grey 1
Orchid, Amethyst and Purple.
Quite pleased with this one, though the picture doesn't do it justice.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
