Eleanor - Hippie Birthday Card.

Hi Folks!

Hope you're all ok and keeping warm and safe in this icy blast we're having?  We even have a bit of snow here today...amazing!  It's a rarity around here.

Sorry I've been AWOL for a couple of days...my mojo has vanished!  I've been busy colouring digis, though, and doing other crafty things on the laptop so the time hasn't been wasted.  And today I've managed to find enough of my mojo to make a passable card.

This card features Heather Valentin's beautiful new Eleanor the Hippie digi.  I'm sure you'll agree that she makes a great hippie!  This digi (as with ALL Heather's digis) is only available (lawfully) from her Lacy Sunshine store.  Don't forget there are retiring digis (all fabulous) on there going for $1 each right now so go and have a look before they're retired for good.  Heather keeps adding them so keep an eye out on what's available.

Anyway, without further waffle...here's Hippie Eleanor!

Isn't she absolutely fabulous?  I really do love this one, and she's lovely to colour as well.  I've used my Promarkers (as always) and have used the following colours:

Coral, Sunkissed Pink and Blush - skin
Antique Pink and Baby Pink - lips
Caramel, Sandstone and Satin - hair
Antique Pink, Baby Pink and Blender - top, glasses, flip flops and flowers.
Purple, Amethyst and Orchid - trousers.
Gold and Mustard - the peace signs and bangles.

The matting layer is Papermania Textured Cardstock and the paper was free with one of my mags...sorry, can't remember the details.

I've done very basic matting and layering and then used my MS lacy punch to make a border down one side of the image.

I created the sentiment on my lappy and added a couple of Wild Orchid flowers with some brads from my stash, and that's it...nice simple card which shows off the Hippie Eleanor beautifully.

Take care everyone.
Happy crafting!
xx

  3. Hmmm not sure I approve of the use of the word "passable" here lol. It's gorgeous, I love the papers and colours and they work so beautifully with this adorable hippie image. I hope your mojo comes back (although I don't really think it's gone anywhere maybe it just needed a rest)
