Hi Folks!
hope you've all had/having a good weekend. Can't believe it's New Year's Eve tomorrow. 2012 has been pretty good but 2013 is going to be even better. Hope the same goes for all of you as well, as you all deserve it!
Anyway, had a lot of fun this afternoon as young Pickles has a new friend. A BIG new friend! And he's absolutely flipping adorable! He's my absolute favourite prehistoric animal and Jamie's totally in love with this dude too.
So...without further ado...meet Waldo!!!!!!
I absolutely love this digi!!!! Heather Valentin has come up trumps with this little beauty and he can be used on anybody's card for any occasion...well...maybe not Christmas unless you add a Santa hat and that might ruin Waldo's hairstyle. Pickles could wear one, though!
I tried something new today and printed the digi onto printable watercolour card and it's worked beautifully with my promarkers. This is the first time I've tried this and also the first time I've coloured this digi, so it's not as good as I'd like, though I am still happy with it. Jamie (aged 6) is an absolute expert (and I'm not kidding) on anything prehistoric and he loves this so much. When I've got it perfected, I'm going to do it on a larger scale, frame it and hang it in his bedroom along with the other prehistoric ones that Heather has come up with already or is planning.
Right now, though, Pickles & Waldo have made a lovely card. The artwork is so spectacular that I wanted it to do the work, so I've just picked a nice, simple backing paper from Polkadoodles' Simpy Sweet CD, and matted it onto some brown card. One sentiment and 5 small buttons later and that's it...very clean & simple for me, but I didn't want anything to take away from the image on this occasion. Next time I might do it with masses of bling...and Waldo could be pretty in pink and become Martha! Female mammoths had tusks too, you know, so I might just do a pink one next time. Jamie would be furious but I love winding him up sometimes, lol. Right now he thinks he's getting a pet rock for his birthday...just don't ask! :oD
Anyway...this brand new, super fabulous, incredible, gorgeous, adorable digi is for sale right now in Heather Valentin's digi store, Lacy Sunshine. It's only $3 and is absolutely perfect, especially for little fossil hunters' cards. I might make one for Jamie's birthday to go alongside his pet rock! :oD Remember, Lacy Sunshine is the ONLY authorised home for any of Heather's digis. If you see them for sale or being offered for free on any other site, then they are advertising and selling them illegally.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
http://simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ where the theme is 'Anything Goes.'
http://challenges4everybody.blogspot.com.es/ where the theme is 'Anything Goes.'
http://tuesdayalchemy.blogspot.co.uk/ where the theme is 'Anything Goes.'
Hope you love this digi as much as I do. Pickles & Waldo make such a great team out there doing the hunter gathering stuff while poor old Eleanor is back at the cave giving it a spring clean.
Take care everyone, and enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Happy crafting!
