Hi Folks!
sorry to have been so quiet lately but I've had so much to do which I can't yet put on here, though some will be appearing shortly. Hope you're all well and that you've missed me like I've missed you.
Also want to say hi to my new followers and that it's lovely to see you here. Please feel free to post comments as I do read them all and it's nice to make new friends through our blogging.
Today's card is my Design Team one for the new Joanna Sheen Challenge, which has the fabulous theme of 'Anything Goes Excluding Christmas!' I'm sure many of you will be relieved to have a break from making Christmas cards for this one.
And here it is:
As you can see, I've used one of the the adorable House Mouse stamps from the Mice & Cosy set, which is seriously cute!
I've stamped the image onto Supersmooth card using Memento black ink, then coloured it in using my promarkers.
The base card is a scallop edged, 6 x 6 (approx) and I have used brown Textured Cardstock from Papermania for all the matting and layering and the flowers.
The gorgeous edging is created by using the Cheery Lynn Mega Doily Mini Pearl Square which, as you can see, is very versatile. I have used the set for all the edging, including the little corners and the tiny little sentiment matting...and I know that's definitely NOT a square! I love this set as it gives such a subtle, delicate but seriously pretty edging.
The papers are my own design created in the CA2 software. They're identical papers but I just reversed the colours for a perfect match. I'm very pleased with how they turned out so will be fiddling around coming up with more papers in the future.
The flowers were made using the same cardstock as for the matting layers and this has been cut using Spellbinders Daisy Patch dies, which are so pretty. The blue brads are also by Papermania.
The sentiment is my own and I colour picked the background from the brown in the backing papers.
I'm really pleased with this card. Hope you like it too.
Now, please pop over to the Joanna Sheen Challenge to see the other DT members' fabulously inspirational card...and to find out who won the last challenge. I had the job of picking the top three and GDT for that one and you wouldn't believe what a difficult job it was to decide! There are so many talented crafters out there with so many ideas... Every entry was brilliant and we're looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with for this challenge. Good luck!
I'm entering this card into the following challenge:
Emma's Crafty Challenge where the theme for this month is 'Brown & Blue.'
Take care everyone. You should see a bit more of me this coming week (I hope!).
Keep yourselves warm and dry and - happy crafting!
xx
