House Mouse Lacy Edged Easel.

Hi Folks!

Hope you're coping with the heat today?  We went for a long walk along by the river and sea and there was absolutely no breeze at all so it was far too hot.  Roll on autumn.

Well, somebody (me!) has got two new Spellbinders sets...Decorative Labels One and Decorative Labels Eight.  They fit in perfectly with the plain corresponding labels.  Today I have chosen to use the Labels Eight (Decorative and Plain) and they really are lovely.  To me, these are a fab size for doing my easels as I'm into smaller cards but these aren't too small.

And, of course, I've chosen to use Joanna Sheens fabulous (can't wait for the Christmas one!) House Mouse Projects CD Volume 1.  Aaawwwwww....it's so cute!

I have made the base for the easel using the Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8 dies.  It did take some cutting going through my Grand Calibur, but with a bit of patience and muscle power it went through.  It was more of a struggle as I did it in 300gsm card this time whereas I usually use 250 gsm.  That extra 100gsm (double thickness) makes quite a difference in how easy it was to cut, so I'll stick with 250 gsm, I think.  It doesn't make much difference in any other way...the card's no better or worse.

I've used the plain labels 8 to cut out the backing paper, topper and stamped sentiment.

To finish off I have just used one rose from Wild Orchid and some faux pearls from my stash.

Think I'll be using these dies a lot for my lacy easels. I really do like them.

Enjoy your weekend Folks!
Take care & happy crafting!
xx
