Red, White & Blue

Hi Folks!

Hope you're all ok and enjoying your weekend?

Today's card is one I've just made to enter the new challenge over at the Krafty Hands Blog.  This is their first challenge so pay them a visit and check it out.  This month's theme (soon to end) is Red, White & Blue.  In order to enter this challenge you must use something which has been purchased from Krafty Hands on either their site or at a show, and it must be either from their range of the range they carry from Crafter's Companion.

So here's my entry:

I used Do Crafts Digital Designer to design the card and their papers and buttons from the Forever Friends Best of British CD.  I didn't get into the Jubilee hype (sorry!) so it was all I had, lol.  But I did purchase the Strawberry Kisses (Crafter's Companion) rubber stamp from Krafty Hands (being a stickler for the rules),  so that's all right, lol.

I coloured the image using my Speccies, layered it all up on a little 5x5 scallop edged card (decorated inside to match), then triple embossed the buttons using extra thick embossing powder so that they look like real buttons.  I finished off with some pale blue gems from my stash.

Krafty Hands are going to be at Doncaster in a fortnight and I will be making a bee line for their stall (if I can shake my Platinum Club stalkers, lol) to purchase their brand new double CD which is vintage cars.  I absolutely love vintage and classic motors so this is a must have for me and it will be brilliant for mens' cards.

Anyway...I'm entering this card in the following challenge:
http://kraftyhands.blogspot.co.uk/ with the theme of Red, White & Blue.

Enjoy your weekend Folks!
Happy crafting.
xx

  2. Hi Lexie love this card the buttons look great. I presume they are diecut ones. You seem to be doing well with your speccies.

    1. Hi Carrie,

I still much prefer promarkers so won't be replacing the Speccies when they run out. Shall start collecting Copics instead...slowly! Lol.

The buttons were printed and then I used just a small circle Spellbinders die to cut them out.
