Meadow Cottage Bears Lacy Easel Card.

Hi Folks!

What a strange day...it's Tuesday but a bank holiday...weird.  I went into town earlier and so many places were shut, including the Royal Mail depot who have a parcel for me and I want it NOW!  It's a big pack of 12 x 12 metallic textured card and I'm dying to have a play.

Today's card once again features some of the gorgeous bears from Crafter's Companion Meadow Cottage Bears by Christine Haworth.  I love this CD so much.  It's such a shame that the Crafter's Companion discs only have an angel policy for selling locally as I can't do craft fayres at the moment but really love working with these CDS.

Anyway...here's the card:

How pretty is that?????  I've used papers and the ribbon from the CD as well as the topper, but took the ribbon into MCS and added the Happy Birthday.

The matting layers are cut from Papermania Textured Cardstock and I have rounded all the corners to fit in with my punched easel.

If you've not seen my punched lacy easels before, there's a tutorial on the Tutorial page showing exactly how it's achieved.  I've used Martha Stewart punch around the page punches for this.

The bow has been made using two lengths of very thin ribbon which I tied into a double bow.

The flowers are die cut from a Marianne set and the centre flower is slightly larger than the outer flowers.  They have been speared with pink brads and then scrunched up for a ruffled look.

I love this card because of the gorgeous colours and beautiful artwork...my little boy loves it because of the little mouse sitting on the bed, lol.  I hope you like it too.

I will be entering this card into the following challenges:

The Cutiepie Challenge where the theme is 'Die Cuts & Punches.'

Happy Crafting Folks!
Take Care
xx
