Tomorrow I do Pretty!

Hi Folks!

I have finally managed to make a mans' card that I'm moderately happy with.  I have to be anyway, as it needs to be in the post tomorrow and it's for a special friend of me and Jamie.  It's such a relief as it means that I can now treat myself and design (and make) some pretty cards again, yay!

Once again, I've used a Joanna Sheen image - this time from the Nostalgia CD - and a Debbi Moore paper from Shabby Chic Vintage Travel.

It's a very simple card using a 6x6 (approx) card base.  I have printed all the elements onto canvas paper which gives a richer colour and brilliant finish, then cut them out using my guillotine and dies.  I have also completed the inside to match the front.  Some of the corners have been rounded to fit in with the Spellbinders die.  I have kept the gold frame for the topper flat to the backing paper and raised the inner part of the topper.  The entire sentiment is raised so there are several layers.  To finish off I have just used to some black organza ribbon across two of the corners to help bring it together.

I'm very relieved that that's finished, lol, so now I can really have some fun playing with pretty stuff!  Yippeeeeeeee!

Take care and have fun.
xx

  1. Hi Lexie love that frame it really goes well with your image. Would never think of putting ribbon on a Mans card but it is the finishing touch. My DD is 40 at the end of the month so I am working on cards for her.
