Guest Design Team Card For Joanna Sheen's March Blog Challenge.

This is my third post for today (please scroll down for other two), but it's very special.

Ooh...I'm so excited about this.  Last month I was chosen to be the Guest Design Team Member over at the fabulous Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog which can be found here.  I absolutely love this challenge and I'm disappointed that I won't be able to enter throughout March, but I'm very, very proud to have been chosen for the Guest Design Team spot.  So thank you to Joanna and all her wonderful team for giving me this fantastic opportunity.xx

The theme this month is Spring/Easter and here is the card I have made for the challenge.

As you can see, I've used the most beautiful image from Joanna Sheen's From the Heart of the Garden CD which features the work of Jane Shasky.  This really is a lovely CD so if you don't have it, put it on your 'need' list!

For the base I have made a lacy edged easel card using a Martha Stewart punch.  The matting layer colour was picked from the topper image as was the die cut butterfly.  I used the same punch as I used for the base card to frame the topper with the matting card.  It looked so pretty that I decided to leave it embellishment free apart from the butterfly and a few faux pearls.

The gorgeous paper is from the CD and I loved it so much I decided to keep the base fairly plain so that you could see it clearly.

The sentiment reads  "No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow," which is a parable I found on the Net.

I hope you like my card as much as I liked making it.

Good luck to everyone entering in the Joanna Sheen Challenge during March.  It really is a fabulous challenge and they have a daily talent spot featuring the lovely work of some of the bloggers (and non bloggers!) taking part.  Please go and have a look...it's very friendly and lots of fun...and is about to get bigger and better!!!
