Starlet Easel Card - Design Team Project.

Hi everyone,

hope you're all ok?  Not doing too badly here...I did a bit of crafting yesterday but things I can't put on here yet so I gave you some peace, lol.

Anyway, today's card is a Design Team project for Scrapbook Stamp Society which can be found here .  I will also be entering it into their Movie Starlets Blog Challenge which can be found here

The digi image I have used to create this card is by Heather Valentin and is called Hollywood Starlett Miss M Lil Ragamuffin and it can be purchased here.  I'm sure you'll agree that it's a stunner of an image and I can think of so many projects it would look fab on.

So...here it is.

See...she's gorgeous, isn't she?  I coloured her using my new Spectrum Noir pens and I'm fairly pleased with the results.  I do like them but I do prefer my Promarkers as I find it easier to be more accurate with them.  I had to use the blender quite a few times colouring this, when usually I don't go over the lines.  So they have a big place for me but I prefer Promarkers.

Anyway, after colouring her Miss M in, I have framed her with a red mat which has also been used for all the other matting.  The backing paper is from Debbi Moore's gorgeous Diamnonds and Lace CD.

The layers have all been cut using my Spellbinders dies.

The roses are from Wild Orchid and the little stars around the embellishment (which is my own) came from my stash, though I have no idea where I got them from, lol.

So there she is...Miss M Lil Ragamuffin in all her glory.

Hope you like her.

If you get the time, please pop over to the challenge blog on the link further up the page and vote for your favourite.  No one knows whose voted for you so just go for the one you like best.  And it would be great if some of you could join in with the challenge.  The prizes are fab and I've heard from a little bird that things are going to get better and better, so please take a look.

Take care everyone.
xxx

  2. Hi Gemma...glad you like it and thank you for your comment.

I'm planning on doing a tutorial in the next few days. I know I said that last week but have been having family problems so it's been delayed. I've got some DT work over the next day or two but then I'll make sure I get the tute done.

  9. gorgeous card loving the colours, reds are quite juicy when spectrums are new so i tend not to go right to edge or just use little dots and they are normally fine. louise xx
