The Lovely Tilda.

Hi everyone!

Hope you're all ok?

I'm so glad I've managed to blog today as I'm not sure whether I'll be able to do so tomorrow as my new hard drive should be being delivered.  It won't take long to fit it but the updates are going to take hours and hours and hours.  I'm dreading them.  Has to be done, though, and at least I don't have to pay for it, lol.

Was naughty this morning and treated myself to the fabulous Spectrum Noir Pick of the Day with the dvd.  I'm hoping that's going to really get me on the right track with my colouring in, so can't wait to get my mitts on them.

Anyway, today's card is a Tilda one.  I've not done a Tilda card for far too long now, so I decided that today was the day so here it is.  Actually, I'm pretty pleased with it as I've learned a lot since doing my last Tilda so can see a big difference between this one and my earlier ones which I'm not showing you!  Lol.  I even managed to get a bunny on it!  :oD

I have used some core'dinations (Vintage Collection) for the matting layers and the gorgeous paper was a freebie from a magazine and is by Hot Off The Press, Inc. and it has Soft Nostalgia printed on the edging so I presume that's the collection.  Whatever it is, I want more!

I have used the same card and paper on the inside of the card.

Tilda and her bunny were coloured in using Promarkers.  I wanted to keep the colour scheme simple so just stuck to a few colours.

I have used my Martha Stewart Lace punch to make the paper lace, and then used ribbon from my stash to wrap around it and make a double bow.  I have also used a couple of hat pins from Ebay.  The beautiful roses are from Wild Orchid, as was the silver filigree corner.

I have used Spellbinders dies to cut the sentiments (my own), the little twiggy bit behind the top roses (can't be seen in pic) and around Tilda and her matting layer.

It's all stuck together using copious amounts of pinflair and I took the photo very quickly before everything slid off the card, lol.

Hope you like this one.  I really do love making this style of card and hope to get much more practice in the near future.

Hope to see you all tomorrow but...

Take care
Big hugs.
xx

  2. I don't even notice that she's not got a mouth now, but I reckon a lot of kids would be better if they were like Tilda, lol.

Thank you for the colouring comment...I'm getting there. I'm looking at all sorts of tutorials and picking up bits and pieces but still have much to learn. I'm longing for the day when I can put folds into clothes and they look like folds, lol.

  8. I agree about the lack of mouth! It is peculiar but pretty widespread fashion at the moment. However, your card is superfabulousgorgeous and is so fantastic that you dont think about the mouth! Look forward to seeing more of your work Lexie :)

  9. Lovely card Lexie. I was going to buy the pens and dvd but I have loads of Promarkers and I think the promarkers will last longer. Had a look on crafters companion website and the refills are £5.99 for each colour so could get quite expensive in the long run. Anyway love the colours on the card and I love Magnolia Tilda etc xxx
