All My Christmases Have Come at Once!

Hi everyone!

Hope you're all well?

Today started off fantastically for me as I had my usual daily peep at Joanna Sheen's Challenge Blog and was absolutely stunned (and I mean STUNNED) to see that I have been chosen to be their Guest Design Team member for March!  Wow!  That's on a par with receiving an Oscar as far as I'm concerned!!!  I've still not come down off the ceiling but I have managed to get it together enough to make a cute little card today.  Obviously, it had to be a Joanna Sheen card so I've chosen a small stamp from one of the new House Mouse Christmas sets (remember my resolution to do Christmas cards through the year?) and it also features the fabby Happy Hopper bunny too.  I am so pleased as Joanna Sheen is now stocking Happy Hopper stamps on the sheets like the House Mouse ones.  I already have a small collection of Happy Hopper stamps but have always had to buy wooden backed stamps until now, so now I can get more from my money thanks to Joanna Sheen and her team!

Anyway, here's today's little card...a scalloped circle easel.
I know...don't all go into shock!  I've decided that less is more in this instance.  The photo doesn't show it very well, but the paper (from Joanna Sheen's House Mouse Inserts CD) if of the sky so it's various shades of pale blue so I decided that was decoration enough.  It would have been nice if there were more falling berries, but it does the job well, I think.

I have colour picked the blue and pink matting layers from the backing paper in my MCS software, and I have coloured the text in the sentiment to match.

I was going to put glitter all around the edges or faux pearls but nope...I made myself stop at the glittered snowflake which I cut using my Silhouette, and a little bit of sparkle on the ground in the image.

The seriously cute little image is coloured using promarkers.

I have run the blue circle on the base through a snowflake embossing folder but it doesn't really show up in the photo.  In this case, the card does look better in the flesh than in a photo but I'm happy with it.  It's nice and simple and peaceful.

Hope you're all having a fantastic day too!
xx

  2. Thank you Kate. I'm not really organised but it was such a nightmare trying to get everything done in the run up to Christmas that I said 'never again!' So I'm planning on doing at least one a week to start with and then build up later. Then I can sit back and put my feet up while everyone else is running around like headless chickens, lol. xx
