Whoopsie Daisy Challenge Card.

Hi everyone.

Did you miss me yesterday?  Go on...admit it.  You know you did!  Lol.  Well, I was around but very busy designing the A7 cards I'll be dishing out for my website.  So that kept me quiet.  Fingers crossed they come back looking as nice as I hope as I'll have 5000 of them, lol.

Anyway, today's cards is for the Whoopsie Daisy Challenge.  The theme is Cute and Cuddly and you have to use one of their designs, which isn't a hardship as they are gorgeous!  Linnie, the artist, is the lady who provided the artwork for Joanna Sheen's new Daisy and Friends CD, so I've used a backing paper from the cd which compliments the digi image beautifully.

The layers and card base were cut using a Penny Duncan cutting file on my Silhouette, and I used supersmooth card and silver mirror card.

The image has been coloured in using my promarkers.  I'm working on improving my colouring in, but still find that I'm overblending a little too much so the shading doesn't show up much, especially in photos.  Need to get more practice in, methinks.  Still pretty happy with it, though.

The flowers are cut using a cutting file on my Silhouette and I have finished them off with some faux gem flowers from my stash.

That's it...simples!

I will be entering this card into the Whoopsie Daisy Challenge at http://cutedaisymay.blogspot.com/

Take care everyone, and happy crafting.

  9. Such a sweet card Lexie, I love the shape and the papers are gorgeous, with your promarkers try stopping before you think you need to and setting it aside for a few minutes as I find sometimes I think that they aren't blended enough but it turns out I am just being impatient lol and if I look again once the ink has settled they look right. Otherwise you can always try going back over it with the darker colour. Hope this helps

    1. Yes, I'll try that next time Lindsay. I never wait until anything's dry because I'm so eager to see the end results. Maybe I should try and make sure I've got two or three images on the go at once to give each of them time. Thanks for that. :oD

  13. Miss you - nah! I'm joking of course, I did wonder where you were but I know how busy you are and the lovely card posted proves it - I've got a lot of Penny Duncan's cutting files too (shame she's stopped sharing them) but I need to practise my colouring with markers more, as they say practise makes perfect! Keep up the good work as we all love to see it Lexie.
