Blue on Blue Butterfly Easel.

Hi everyone.  Hope you're all ok and not too cold to get some crafting done.  It's so miserable out there as well, but all is well here.  Bunnies are tucked up Bunningham Palace (their playhouse) with masses of straw, poochie's by the heater and we're not doing too bad either.

Anyway...today's card is for a new challenge which can be found here.   The theme is Shades of Blue and the prize has been donated by Phill Martin and it looks pretty good!

So here's what I've come up with.

I have used papers and a topper from My Craft Studio's Floriography CDs, which are so beautiful.  I've had to colourise them so that they're blue but they're still so pretty.  I chose the blank toppers so that I could add my own verse and I selected one which reads:

"May the wings of the butterfly kiss the sun
And find your shoulder to light upon,
To bring you luck, happiness and riches
Today, tomorrow and beyond.
~ Irish Blessing."

I have colourised the text so that it is blue as well.

The matting card is core'dinations from the Vintage Collection.

I can't remember whose the butterfly dies are, but they're pink if that helps, lol.

I have used Spellbinders Labels One for the layers and base of the easel.

Even the little faux pearls are pale blue...amazingly I found just enough to finish off the card.

Considering blue is quite a restrictive colour I'm quite pleased with how this has turned out.

Take care and go and have a nice hot chocolate.
xx
