Pink & Brown Challenge Card

Hi ya you crafty lot!

Boy, it's cold today.  We've had some very light sleet but that's it so far.  Hope it stays that way.

Sorry I didn't blog yesterday but I was struggling through making 250 bookmarks.  It was a really stupid idea (I get a lot of them!) to promote my little online shop which should be opening next Monday.  The plan was to make even more of them and shove them through doors in the hope that people wouldn't bin them.  Well...think I'll stop at 250, lol.  I've yet to laminate them as well <groan>.  The new plan is to have some A7 cards printed and cut for me...much less hassle.

Anyway, today's card is for a challenge over at Whoopsie Daisy (link on right).  I've not entered this challenge (actually do very few) before, but I discovered this ladies work the other week and ordered a sheet of digis to try and they're lovely.  And today Postie brought me Joanna Sheen's Daisy & Friends which is by the same lady.  Yay for Lynn Carter, the artist behind the characters!  I've not looked at the CD yet but used one of the images from the sheet I bought.

So, enough waffle...isn't she gorgeous?!

Well, I'm not 100% sure about this card.  My mojo was struggling and I was trying to not go as OTT as I often do but didn't quite manage it, lol.  It's not as overflowing as some of my cards, though.

For this card I used:
Promarkers.
White scalloped edge base card (approx 6x6)
Polka Doodles Pretty Sweet Mini for the backing paper.
Brown leather effect card (from stash).
Roses from Wild Orchid.
Circle and Lacey dies from Spellbinders.
Doohickey butterfly die
Martha Stewart paper punch - I never remember the name!
Pink co'ordinations card from the Gemstones pack.
Faux pearls from my stash.

It speaks for itself how I've done this one.
Hope you enjoy.
Keep warm everyone!
xx
